Business Charter Jet - Pros And Cons

Traveling in the corporate world can either be incredibly frustrating, if you are dealing with the public sector, or incredibly expensive, if you are trying to finance a jet. Thankfully, there are business charter jet programs available, that provide the same benefits of owning a jet, without having to break out the hundreds of thousands of dollars required to make the purchase, or secure financing.

If you have been on the fence about financing a jet, or entering into a corporate jet charter program, you will want to take a look at both the pros, and the cons, of a service, over owning the jet in full. Fractional ownership programs offer different perks, but unless you have the funds available to cover the maintenance, and other running costs of owning a jet, charter services provide what you are looking for, for a lot less money.

Business Jet Charters - Pros

1) There are much lower financial costs involved. The costs of maintaining, fueling, and hiring a staff are incredibly expensive. Unless you are running a huge corporate operation, your business may not have the liquid assets available to cover the extra costs associated with full, or fractional jet ownership. Charter business jets cover these costs, with you paying one set fee.

2) No more security hassles at public airports. Security measures have been tightened down, almost to incredibly unbelievable lengths, but hiring a business charter jet pilot can help do away with the hours of standing in a security line, to check your baggage and get to your terminal.

3) You don't have interest rates hanging over your business. With the market being as unstable as it is, obtaining a set interest rate for a long period of time requires a lot of collateral, and money up front, to ensure that the bank is going to earn there money back. What this means, is that if the market conditions turn to favoring the banks, you may end up experiencing raised interest rates.

4) The ability to travel in luxury, whenever you want. Obtaining a jet has never been easier. Public sector 1st class seating cannot compare to the luxury that you feel, when you are riding in your own private jet, being chartered around the world. At the drop of a hat, when a new meeting is being organized, and you must get there quickly, you can place a call, and charter a business jet within a few hours.

Cons Involved With Business Charter Jets

1) You don't own the jet. When you are part of a charter business jets program, you do not have the ability to purchase the aircraft, which means, that you don't have it to use as assets towards your company. While this may not effect a lot of people, if you are trying to adhere financing for a large business move, you are going to be thankful to have the capital available to use.

2) You do pay more than a public sector plane flight. While most public sector plane tickets are considered expensive, making the decision to charter a business jet is even more expensive. You must have the funds available, to make up for the cost difference in flying through a public airport.

3) Some jets are subject to availability. Not all programs offer a 100% guarantee that you will have a jet available. The services that do offer this guarantee are often much higher priced than their competitors, but if you are in the position of scheduling late flights on a regular basis, you'll have to know that some companies do not offer you this availability.

Charter Jets 19 months ago

Many companies these days are cutting down on business travel by using telepresence options from Cisco and other providers. Given the technology advancements -this will become even more prevalent in the future. I believe, in business dealings, that a look in the eye and a handshake are invaluable to a successful business partnership. Therefore I will keep using chartered jets for business travel.
